Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

i travel. and i talk about my travels if relevant...

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

i sold my telecaster to a guy in france so i could make rent. i made rent that month and the next. then i was surfing my friends' and parents' couches after that. then i settles in baltimore and co-curated a gallery and grew, then moved back to OKC to grow some more. travel and CS'ing are essential to my nature--- to quote someone wiser than i, "if a plant cannot live according to its nature, it dies; and so a man."

Interests

words, moving pictures, lazy pictures, painted pictures, printed pictures, reincarnation, space/time, red shift/blue shift, me shift/you shift, meaning, meandering, and music.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

i walked away from love to the oregon coastline. i met a lot of beautiful people and saw a lot of beautiful scenes. i learned about relativity atop a mesa and listened to the coyotes coaxing the k9s to join them once more. i woke up to hot air balloons competing with the rust and dust sunrise. i spent an hour alone on the wharf in san francisco, staring past the golden gate bridge breathing smoke in tandem with a docile pacific. i made a sour cherry pie from sour cherry trees in an abandoned sour cherry orchard, picked straight from the tree - hardly any need for baking.

Teach, Learn, Share

selfless love is our greatest conceptual achievement as human beings aaand living with compassion is key. we are lifted up by this and by our ability (and practical application) to communicate (this) --- we should strive to do this better.

our apathy is our hell.

if i know anything, it is that i barely know anything at all.

platitudes are the death of me. and dairy.

we may never see this life again and we should celebrate with any and every sentient being around us!
