Hey everyone! My name is Oksana, I live in Italy near Venice although originally I am from Ukraine.
I am about to finish my master's degree in performing arts at Padova University. I am passionate about meditations and spiritual philosophies and I really love exploring the world in an adventurous, sometimes challenging, way :) Through couchsurfing, I'd like to meet new friends and people who share the same interests as me around the globe.

Music, Movies, and Books

I should say that defining my tastes in music is a very difficult task for me since I listen to so many genres and musicians of different styles but just to give you an idea, among my favourite modern musicians there are Stefano Bollani, Hania Rani, Silvia Perez Cruz, Ibrahim Maalouf, Thom Yorke and many others.
In general, I appreciate jazz (especially with latin roots), free improvisation, funk, rnb etc...
Though I have a classical music background and have been raised listening to and performing the works of Chopin, Scriabin, Debussy, Monteverdi, Bach, Schubert, and many others.
Lately, I've developed a deep interest in folk music and have taken a course on ethnomusicology.

Favorite films (at the moment): Stalker, Knights of Cups, The Great Beauty, Pure, Before Sunrise...
