I adore meeting new people and visiting new places.

I live with my husband Alex and we both like hosting people very much.
I am ex-teacher of English, so I am able to explain the local lifestyle quite fluently, while Alex is learning English and loves practicing it with guests.

Now I am working as a videographer and my main job is editing weddings from all over the world. Through these weddings I get acquainted with the traditions of different countries. Mostly I edit videos from the USA, Canada, Australia and Mexico.

Travelling is the most awesome thing ever! I have participated in two volunteer camps in Spain and in France, and both times I was hosted for several nights by local people and it was such an amazing experience for me that I loved it very much! And for me hosting foreign people is like traveling myself, that´s why I like this activity, too.

I like singing songs, playing the piano, doing yoga and more than anything I am onto shooting videos. I have been working in different competition in organization committee, like the Olympic Games, the Universiade and so on, also I have worked in the FINA World Championship in Kazan, FIFA Championship 2018 in Moscow and OIC youth forum recently. These projects allowed me to communicate with lots of of people and that's amazing!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

People here have the unique life philosophy and I love it. I trust the world and I believe it's the only way to live happily. During my volunteering camps I found myself in different situations and I also got the help of locals. They always were so kind to me that I want to do the same.

Me and my husband are very hospitable, we love sharing local food with guests, both cooking ourselves or buying stuff. As we live in Kazan, here you cam meet not only Russian cuisine, but also tartar cuisine with their special horse meet for example. We don't force guests to eat it though:) We love explaining local orthodox traditions that are blended with the muslim traditions. The uniqueness of Kazan is that these two religions exist together and people of different nationalities live friendly.

Alex is fond of motorcycling and we travel by moto during summertime as the season for it is not long in our region because of snow.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I worked as an English teacher in China for a year and half before the covid, and that was an incredible experience for me. Now I have many Chinese friends and we keep in touch. I want to spend next vacation in the city were I live because it feels like my second home. There I've truly understood how beautiful our world is, that people from other countries are so different and at the same time they are all human beings with the same desires and dreams. Just living in one small Chinese city gave me so much so I can't imagine how cool it is to live in the other different places for some periods of time and that is my dream - continue exploring the world.
