Overview
About Me
Cultural anthropologist, eternal student, and incurable volunteer, in ceaseless search of new challenge and new adventure. Also a social researcher - until no better adventure comes my way. ;)
Can't stay in one place for too long - if I do, it inevitably ends up with some wild foray to the other end of the world. I like to get to know more than the bare surface of the places where I stay, and I know no better way of doing that than talking to the locals and gathering insiders' remarks. I usually ask a lot of questions, too, so be warned! ;)
My biggest dream? To contribute to making our World a better place.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
My Couchsurfing experience has been amazing so far - and I'm hungry for more!
I hosted a bunch of people when I was living in Georgia in Caucasus, and the people who surfed my couch were just huge pleasure to meet, and great source of inspiration as well. Just as the people who let me sleep on their couches while on some wild journeys to the end of the world. There's nothing that made my travelling more fun and more adventurous than CS!
Interests
People, languages, stories... Learning stuff in general! Going places I've never been to before, meeting new people, trying to understand them and their ways.
Besides that: biking, traditional arts&dance, traditional archery, and well... Anthropology!

Music, Movies, and Books
I love good music to accompany my moods - especially the good ol' rock'n'roll music. :) Ethnic sounds are most welcome too! Hope one day I'll learn to play an instrument- I can only imagine how much fun it is to make your own music, and I definitely wanna try at last!
I haven't got a specific taste for movies. Apart from Star Wars (yay, I'm a nerd! ;) ). And I'm keen on discovering new stuff, so if you feel like watching a movie and suggesting one, you're more than welcome!
As for books - I'm a faithful fan of polish non-fiction (wanted to become Ryszard Kapuscinski - polish journalism classic - when I'd grow up). Apart from that? Random choice from my shelf: Shakespeare (!!!), Vonnegut, Wharton, Llosa, Hrabal, Tolkien, Le Guin (<3)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Come on! I can't just pick one! So - a short selection of things that amazed me that spring to my mind just now:
- watching the sun rise at the feet of Kilimanjaro
- sailing to the coral reef in a dhow boat in Mombasa
- travelling alone in China for over a week knowing some 30 words in Chinese - everything that happened then was magic
- cooking a typical Polish meal fore some 100 people (not recommended ;) )
- looking at the sea of clouds beneath my feet in High Caucasus mountains
- staring at the ceiling of Hagia Sophia in Istanbul in the middle of Ramadan prayers
- watching seal pups play at my feet on amazing Wharariki beach in New Zealand
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you to shoot a bow, if you visit me in Warsaw. I can also try to teach you to cook something vegetarian/Georgian/weird ;) - depending on interests. I can also teach you to say "I'm a student, and I have no money", and "it's too expensive" in Chinese, and a few other languages. ;)
