ABOUT ME

The name is Olsen, Olaf Olsen.
I am from the Faroe Island, A country you might not have heard about.

You might ask you self, where is that? (common answer I get, when I say where I am from)

Not many people know where it is, and it is located in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean between Iceland and Norway.

I work allot. Currently I have 2 jobs. 1 Job in A grocery store, and 1 job for my father (Kjøtbúðin, meat production facility, that makes food for grocery stores)

I cant cook (that good), but would like to learn to, even if it means that the food will be burned a bit.

I love nature. Back home I am sourround by mountains and nature.

I like waterfalls, rain and listing to the ocean wawes. It has a calm, smooth, relaxing sound.

Been traveling arround the world from Oct 2009 to May 2010.

Was in USA, Australia, Singapore and Thailand, so this was my 2nd backpack trip.

I am thinking about going back out there in either Aug, Oct 2013.

It´s either and 3rd trip or going to school in Denmark.

I like Skydiving, Bungee Jumping, River Rafting and Scuba Diving.

Took my Open Water Course in Cairns, Australia,
and then I got my Advanced in Koh Tao in Thailand.
Also, I took a few specialities in Diving like,

. Night Diving,
. Multi Level and Computer
. Photography
. Deep
. Enriched Air

Am planning on perhaps take my Divemaster training in Koh Tao, Thailand at some point.

So to sum it all up about diving, I love it.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

How I will participate with CS.

I can show people the city of Tórshavn, go out in the evning to get a drink (only weekends).

I would like to get to know more people. Learn the langauge and culture.

I can go on trips with people arround the islands, if that is of interest, but only if it is in the weekends and if I have time, because I work 7 days a week. 50-55 hours a week.

Unfortnatly I can not offer a couch, beacuse there are a lot of people in the house. We are 7 people in the house.

However, when I get my own place, I will definitly host people for sure.

Meet other CS people.
Go to CS events and CS parties.

When staying with a host, I like to help out in the kitchen like washing or drying the dishes. "Quid pro quo".

Interests

Movies: Armageddon, Indiana Jones and several more. Seen 100+ movies.

Music: Classic, rock, country, well everything. I can listen to it all.

Photography: When the wheaher is good, I sometimes like to go outside and take pictures of the nature.

Gym: I work out in a fitness gym 2-3 times a week right now. I am not build as an athlete. I have a few, but not that much extra kilos on me. Lets just say that is a beer belly. hehe

Skiing: Only been skiing once, and is was great. definetly going agin. I was in Saalbach/Austria in feb. 2008

Haven´t read thaaaat much. Usually don´t have time, even though I carry a book with me, when I travel.
