ABOUT ME

I'm a very good listener. Most of my friends would say I’m friendly, and would definitely make a comment on my laugh, which is often said to be contagious. They would also say that I laugh a lot and that I have a twisted sense of humor.

PHILOSOPHY

I approach life with a perpetual interest in people from all ranges of the social spectrum; from the disheveled hobo to the bourgeois workaholic. I truly believe that you can learn something from everyone: namely, what not to do and what to follow.

Interesses

I love learning new things. I find that I’m stuck in that stage of human development where one finds everything curious – Worry not prospective host I will not stick shiny objects up my nose. In everyday life I find writing to be my favorite hobby, along with musical composition and painting (lately I’ve been slacking on the last one). Although my interests generally veer toward art and all modes of expression, I find myself constantly finding new interests that lead me into strange tangents, wholly non sequitur to my present career.

Músicas, Filmes e Livros

Music: As with many people nowadays, I go through phases. At the moment, I'm really into an electronic DJ named Burial. I'm pretty eclectic when it comes to my music for example: I find 15th century chamber music (e.g. Padre Soler) to be very fun and stimulating while at the same time I enjoy the rebellious chants and flows of rap; the wild overspilling energy of punk (Minor Threat); and the loony music of 70's punk and electro (I.e Public Image and Silver Apples).

Books: I'm always in the middle of reading a novel. However I generally read at a snails pace, depending on the language. Currently, I'm reading Nana by Zola in French which has taken me 2 months to get through. I enjoy anything from the drunken exploits of Bukowski to the heart wrenching spiritual conflict of dostoievski.

Movies: There’s a mood for every film, so I'm a fan of all movie genres, save romantic comedies (although Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind is an exception), I love horror films in particular. Just to name a few: Halloween, the Shining, Rosemary’s baby, Videodrome. I really enjoy the grittiness of seventies movies.

I can't really say I've done or seen anything amazing yet. Perhaps I'm a little jaded or may be I've watched too many movies. Nevertheless I still have hope that I will see or do something amazing one day.
