About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To experience life as a movable feast,

ABOUT ME

I grew up in Vienna, in a very multicultural city. That's why I like meeting people from all over the world and learning new languages. I think that I'm an open-minded and open-hearted person.

PHILOSOPHY

On The Road and The Sun Also Rises. Bohemian/expatriate lifestyle. Traveling broadens the mind. I'll sleep when I'm dead. Yes, we can. Let's "bouge".

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I am a couchsurfing beginner, I've done it for the first time during my easter holidays this year. I am positively surprised that it worked out so well. I met lots of nice and cool people (who even cooked dinner and made breakfast for me!). So I would like to couchsurf people in future and be a nice hostess too!

Interests

I am very interested in cinema and at the moment. My favourite film directors are Alfred Hitchcock, Woody Allen, Martin Scorcese, John Cassavetes and many more. I also like reading, spending time in used-books stores and collecting English and American literature.
Back home in Vienna I play the violin in an orchestra, but since I'm travelling at the moment I don't have my instrument with me. Now as it is a warm and sunny spring I spent much time outdoors, picknicking in the jardin public or the beach (if possible) with my roommates and friends.

Music, Movies, and Books

vertigo, rear window, the birds, misfits, on the waterfront, milk, in my father's den, the u.s vs. john lennon, science of sleep, jeux d'enfants, annie hall, ninth gate, a woman under influence, the bourne ultimatum, the departed, the godfather,... There are so many good films!!
The Sun Also Rises, The Great Gatsby, To Kill a Mockingbird, A Room of one's own, The Count of Monte Christo,... I'm always open for book recommandations!
rock, alternative rock, drum'n'bass, chanson francaise (especially from the 60s and 70s), BritPop, classical music except Mozart,... i just not really a fan of house music and heavy metal.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Spending a night in a small village in the Navarra Valley. Sleeping in front of the chimney and waking up early in the morning to see the fog and the rising sun.

Teach, Learn, Share

I could teach some languages, I guess... but I could also tell you how to make Austrian pastries, teach you how to waltz and how the Viennese opera ball looks like. And, especially french people, how to mix wine with mineral water (a "Spritzer") and make it taste delicious!

Countries I’ve Visited

Belgium, Croatia, Czech Republic, France, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Monaco, Poland, Slovakia, Spain, Switzerland, United Kingdom

Countries I’ve Lived In

Austria, France
