About Me
CURRENT MISSION
"Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover" - Mark Twain
ABOUT ME
I love travelling and visiting different places. I love trying new things, particularly if I get to eat or drink it. I excel at walking around aimlessly.
I love the outdoors and think there are few better things in life than getting to the top, and taking a few moments to sit down and enjoy the world pass on by.
As a person.. well. I like to think of myself as very easy going and I try really hard not to let all the trivial things in life upset me. I really love chatting to random people everywhere (I get alot of strange looks) and firmly believe the world would be a better place if everyone just sat down together over a bowl of noodles. Unless you're a vegan.
PHILOSOPHY
The quote from Mark Twain always stirs something deep within.
There is never enough time to explore and see what the world has to offer. I'm starting a graduate law position in 2011 and am really starting to realize how rare opportunities to travel and see the world are.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Music, Movies, and Books
Music - Everything except for death metal and most pop (that includes the crap they pass off as hip hop now)
Have been catching up on quite a few books whilst I've been travelling; quite fond of the Alchemist by Paulo Coleho.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Hiking in Norway and being stunned by fjords and mountains
Hiking in New Zealand and (again) being stunned by the fjords, mountains and lakes
Listening to live fado in Lisbon in a tiny crowded bar
Completing the Camino de Santiago in Spain and reaching Finisterre, the 'end of the world'
Watching the sunset over the hills of Tuscany from a castle whilst eating fresh tomatoes, pecorino and ciabatta and washing it down with some wine
Seeing the vinyards of Provence glowing red and gold in the afternoon sun and exploring tiny little medieval villages
Ambling through the beautiful streets of Paris and stopping every 20 minutes for a pain au chocolat
Trying as many delicious Belgian beers and suddenly realizing that you only need three to be quite happily drunk; and of course, living in the Netherlands with my wonderful housemates at Herengracht.
Teach, Learn, Share
I enjoy cooking very much and might be able to teach some things. However, I'm by no means an expert chef!
Otherwise... Let's just talk and see what we learn from each other.
