Hi! I'm a student living in Prague who just finished high school and I'm going to study engineering in the United Kingdom from next year. I spend a lot of my free time doing outdoor sports (running, cycling, tennis,...). I also love climbing mountains and I'm up for any kind of challenge. Taekwondo forms a large part of my life, I have been practicing it for over nine years now :) Although I am not the most talkative person in larger groups, I enjoy spending time with my friends and would describe myself as an easy-going person.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm planning to go backpacking this summer through southern and eastern Europe since I've won an interrailing ticket thanks to the DiscoverEU initiative. I have never traveled alone before, but I think this is a great opportunity to try it. I was looking for methods how to travel on a budget and after discovering couchsurfing I am looking forward to meet new people not only during my trip, but also to show you what my hometown has to offer. I believe this is a unique opportunity to experience the local culture much more in depth than just from a tourist perspective and to make traveling not only more affordable, but more enjoyable too!

Music, Movies, and Books

My taste in music varies a lot depending on my current mood, but I am open to pretty much any style.
The film genres I like the most are fantasy and sci-fi (my all-time favourite is probably LOTR, although I enjoyed the books more), but I am up for a good comedy anytime. I'm a big fan of TV series such as Breaking Bad, Black Mirror, Game of Thrones or Stranger Things.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One of my favourite traveling experiences were two student exchanges, one to Hamburg, Germany and the other to Madrid, Spain. I found it very exciting to be combine traveling and learning a foreign language. In both cities I made very good friends - my friends and I visited Madrid for a second time during the following summer break, this time on our own initiative, and had a wonderful time exploring the city together with our local friends.

I am happy to share stories from my travel experiences, tell you something about the Czech culture or chat about some interests we've got in common. What I enjoy the most, however, is to have a good time meeting new people and exploring new things. I would love to hear some stories from your life too, of course!
