About Me
Hey there, my name is Ole and i am a student and I have been living in Cologne for 28 years by now ☺ I am wondering that i am still living here because i love to travel and to see something new and adventurous –that took me to a lot of places all over the world. But there seems to be another more chilled and calm side to me. Therefore, it always makes me happy to have my most important people around me.
Most of the time I take life not to serious . I love to laugh and be active. Things that make me happy are sports (Capoeira, swimming, beach volleyball etc.), travelling, playing music (guitar), connecting with other people and to follow spontaneous ideas.
I am easy to talk to and enjoy good conversations which gives me new ways of thinking. Im interested in people and their opinions. So I really enjoy to have a beer and talk about the world, personal topics or just funny stories :)
When Im travelling I really enjoy the vibrant life of cities, but sometimes I prefer to be out in the nature and discover it.
UPDATE: Finally I made it and went out of my comfort zone :D Right now in Rio de Janeiro and living and working here for one year in a Favela-Museum "Museu da Maré".
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I had great couchsurfing experiences with friends i travelled with and loved it. So its time to join in this great community.
Music, Movies, and Books
I dont have a favourite kind of music but I love the Chillies, Alt-J and Eddie Vedder.
The most amazing books i have read where the Parfume and Steppenwolf.
Apart from that I love Books and Movies with adventurous stories.
One of the best movies I watched are City of Gods, The Island and the Salt of the earth.
I really like documentaries as well: You dont believe how crazy ants are ;)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Doing a biketour from Hamburg to Stockholm. Becoming really good friends with my travelpartners, pushing my standard to a minimum and met so many helpful people gave me a new way of thinking what's important in life. I made my first couchsurfing experience there as well.
Teach, Learn, Share
I like to get to know new places and always open to learn about new languages and cultures.
As I become a teacher for geography and mathematics I could teach you that :D No seriously I like to share with you all my interests you see above. I am really interested in geographical topics - which means nearly everything :D from climate change to geopolitics and how humans influence the world.
When I look back to my trips its often not just the place by itself that make a time memorably but more the people who shared it with you.
What I Can Share with Hosts
interested in the countries culture i travel to, share ways of living and thinking, share own travel experiences, cooking, doing every kind of sports, laugh and have fun, grab a beer or going out.
