ABOUT ME

Hey! My name is Oleg. I'm from Russia. We have severe winters but hot hearts here. I don't tame bears :( but I think I am doing even more funny things that could be interesting for you!

I did my first winter skydiving this year. My parachute opened too early (it'd be worse if it opens too late though). I was going down about 20 minutes. Significant point is that it is pretty cold in Russia at winter. At a height of 4000 meters (1300 feet) outside temperature is about -50 °C (about -58 °F). After making touchdown I was looking like a crazy mix of a polar traveler and a frozen chicken. But it was AWESOME! Don't matter that I was doing my best to look well on this photo :) It is something to live for. Something that can help you to feel new types of emotions and better understand who you are...

Moving forward... I've made a big US trip this year. I've rented a car in Austin, TX and delivered myself to San Francisco in 2 (yes, two) days. I've visited the Grand Canyon, Las Vegas and LA during my trip. How did I do this? Just 20 hours to drive and 4 hours to sleep :) Special thanks to Mike (homeless guy) who made outstanding LA walking tour for me. I really appreciate your help Mike! Your are the best guide I've ever seen. Funny thing about this trip is that I've found out that my credit card was blocked just after leaving Texas. I didn't notify my bank about my travel to the US and they simply block my card due to security reasons :) I had only $250 cash and this fact made my trip even better. I had to stop at the cheapest motels (which actually gave me much more 'natural' feeling of the US) and eat the cheapest food available (which was awesome!). This trip was something OUTSTANDING! I'll keep it in my memory forever!

Between different crazy activities I'm having a lot of fun doing my job. I'm technology evangelist at NVIDIA (you know us, right?). I'm helping developers to use our hardware platform much more effectively. I'm doing this by preparing different development tools and code samples. Sounds boring? No! My main activity is to make various talks and presentations for you guys! And it is something I like the most. You can see my promo photo as an NVIDIA's superman here. I'm trying to make my talks as funny as possible and I've even read number of articles about 'very animated Russian guy'. My last talk took place at the NVIDIA Tegra Developer Day in San Francisco, CA this summer. Let me know if you want to visit one of our events ;)

I really enjoy life and would like to help everyone to do the same! Together we can do everything!
