I'm traveling photographer. My mission is to show human essentials.

ABOUT ME

I live in Moscow usually, but last years, after becoming a father, I used to travel with my wife and son, because Moscow climate is not suitable for them. So we live for months in Turkey, Montenegro, Spain, Portugal. And we are not going to stop :)
I love different people and always try to find an opportunity to make their portraits. For me this is the best way to get acquainted.
Generally I'm in love with visual culture: photography, movies, animation and so on. I try lo watch new and old ones an to create something by my own.

PHILOSOPHY

I believe that everything changes a little bit in the better way. Step by step, drop by drop. So, though sometimes something disturbs me, I try to live every moment in it's essential. Of course it's not easy, but photography helps me, because it's all about the moment and being inside. Now, when I'm a father, I try to be patient and to find balance between my identity and identity of my son (and, of course, my wife :) )

I think that everything is inside (it's kind of solipsism). You can change your world only by changing your mind. Few ideas from buddhism are close to me: I try to clean my conscious and to fill it with joy and gratitude to people and world. And it works :)

I love something strange, random, optional. For example, in the new city I prefer not to use map but to flow with my intuition. It concerns to new people too :)

In the context of couchsurfing I used to be unobtrusive.
I love peace and silence. In Moscow it's not easy to find them, but I know few secrets places )

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

It was not with CS, but same experience. Few years ago I stayed in Nizhniy Novgorod (I was introducing a photo seminar). Sometimes nice people from Poland, France, Czech Republic stayed at my home in Moscow.

Intereses

I love to take portraits of people and places. Or just to walk in silence, or speaking about something. Memories, childhood dreams, or clouds are best topics :)

About Moscow: I'm very glad to show different Moscow: tiny, silent & magic. When I travel, I like to find deserted places or other strange parts of cities, towns and villages. I also like to observe parks, gardens and other places, where nature and people meet.

Last years, while being a father, I have no time to watch, listen and read, but I love it very much (reading mostly).

Books: Saramago's "The year of death of Ricardo Reis", Nabokov, Brodsky, Baricco, ...

Music: just a few picks since this could be endless. "Morcheeba", Cranberries, Radiohead, Sigur Rós, Neil Young, Doors, Madonna, russian rock, classical too...

Movies: Jim Jarmusch, Wim Wenders, Emir Kusturica, Pedro Almodovar, Woody Allen, Charlie Chaplin; "Amelie", "Dead poets society", "Forrest Gump", "The Game", "The Dreamers", "Social Network", the Zeitgeist documentaries, "Pulp Fiction", soviet movies and few new russian, ...

My son? Being a king in Sardinia? (It was ballet show, where I was playing a king ;) ) My photocourses? I don't want to choose. Many moment or even periods of my life are amazing and I try to be amazed more and more. (Yes, I thing "amazing" is inside).

I am always ready to tell (and listen!) about photography. This is magic, and it really can change your life ) For example, photography helped me to find my wife, all my jobs, to travel and so on. And of course photography helps me to meet enchanting people :)
