About Me
Hey everybody!
We will be hosting couples only (or couples with children).
I would like to write that me and my husband Jonathan just an ordinary people. Originally I am from Ukraine, however fell in love with this rainy but beautiful country as soon as I came here and decided to stay :). Johnny was born in Switzerland in English family that decided to move back to UK.
I hope everyone will enjoy England as much as we do and we are hoping to come across only easygoing and friendly hosts when travelling ourselves.
All the best,
Olga

My advice for a trip to London (personal opinion) General advice - If travelling from any airport other then Heathrow,- do buy 1 month open return ticket to save money - Always take a form of ID with you (national ID card, passport or a driving license), because you might need it to visit bars/clubs/restaurants etc.) - No sport clothes if you are planning to visit any of the more sophisticated places, you will not be allowed in. Places to visit - free museums: National Gallery, National Portrait Gallery, Tate Britain, Tate Modern, British Museum, Natural History Museum, Victoria and Albert Museum, Science Museum - points of interest: Big Ben, House of Parliament, London Eye, Buckingham Palace, Piccalilli Circus, Saint James park, Regents Park, Holland Park, Hyde Park, Greenwich and prime meridian by boat from Westminster, Kensington Gardens, Tower Bridge. Tower of London. My favourite places for a cup off tea/coffee: Langham Hotel, Cafe inside National Gallery, any of the Cafe Concerto, Bar American in Piccadilly Circus. In all of this cafés you might hear life classical music / but only if you are lucky, because it's not always on :) - I would highly recommend to book Sky Garden (it's free to visit, but must book 1 month in advance) http://skygarden.london/plan-your-visit - Aqua Shard bar/Oblix bar Sunday to Wednesday 12pm-12am http://aquashard.co.uk/gallery - SushiSamba bar https://sushisamba.com/subdomains/m/london/menus.php - museums that are not free, but worth considering: Madame Tussauds London, The London Dungeon (you can combine this museums/tickets to make them cheaper) - castles that are not free and are couple of hours away from London, but worth considering: Windsor Castle, Leeds Castle. - lovely cities near by: Canterbury, Oxford, Cambridge - for oyster/sea food lovers: Whitstable
What I Can Share with Hosts
Our house in Maidenhead is really lovely and cosy. Maidenhead is a very quiet town by the river, with plenty of interesting places nearby. If you would like to spend your days in London, - it's 20 minutes by fast train. Day travel card off peak (including London Underground) costs around £20. We have a sofa bed in the front room
