About Me

Hello!

My name is Olesya.
I was born in Siberia, in Evenkia, then I moved to St. Petersburg. Have you heard of the Tunguska meteorite? I'm from those places.
I live in St. Petersburg, working as a clinical psychologist in the psychotherapeutic center of a psychiatric hospital.
Work is a big part of my life. I chose this work to help people cope with mental problems, emotional crises, internal conflicts. The work made me work hard on myself, experience personal psychotherapy, solve all my internal problems through psychoanalysis. This is the existential meaning of my life - to help people and do something important and valuable in the world.

Speaking of my hobbies, I sing a little, I study at the vocal school. Sometimes I take part in concerts, prefer rock and jazz. In April, there was the first performance on the stage of the Cosmonaut Club. It is quite famous in Petersburg, I was very afraid. But it turned out that it was even fun, I was on the other side of the stage. In addition, I photograph and draw a little.

Politics has also become an important part of my life. I'm an oppositionist. It is difficult to be an oppositionist in my country. I will only say that I will continue to hold rallies and fight for human rights and the constitution. I believe that it is necessary to protect human rights and freedom.

When I was a student, and I had more free time, I was a volunteer in a children's camp for mentally retarded orphans. It was an international camp. So I met and became friends with volunteers from England, France, Hong Kong, Czech Republic, Ukraine. The experience in this camp was amazing.

By temperament, I am between a phlegmatic and a sanguine person. A little shy at the very beginning of communication, but getting to know people is pretty easy. I like to recognize people and share with them something good.
According to the worldview, I am a Pantheistic and a skeptic. I respect classical science.
I'm looking for my way between Scylla and Charybdis. I'm a fan of my work and try to realize it, for me it's meaningful. I love pandas, cinema on the projector, toasted suluguni, pomegranate wine in one secret place in St. Petersburg, old books in the Lenin room of the National Library of Russia.

I dream of traveling. I also want to start my own business sometime, I think about it. In general, I avoid talking about dreams, but I am very happy when they are realized. And many of my dreams have come true. Hooray!

Music, Movies, and Books

I listen to different music depending on my mood. I love rock'n'roll, alternative rock, folk. I'm inspired by classical Russian music, for example, Rachmaninoff. I love the blues.

Recently, films rarely make me happy. I see the Game of Thrones, The Black Mirror, Philip K Dick's Electric Dreams, The Big Bang Theory. I regret that they closed the TV series Gypsy. So sad, we do not know what happened next. This is a series about a psychotherapist who violates the ethical code. Adore! From the films I'm really looking forward to "Fantastic creatures and their habitats" part 2. I like the Japanese horror movies of the 80s. I love cyberpunk. The ghost in the armor is great (but not a remake! Only the original anime). My favorite director is Darren Aranofsky. Especially I love one of his first films 1998 "Pi". I really love the adaptation of the novels of Agatha Christie. Hercule Poirot performed by David Suchet is beautiful.

With my work, I read a lot on psychoanalysis and philosophy. For a long time I have been trying to understand Haidagger. I love Simone de Beauvoir and Sartre. And, of course, Kafka. For entertainment you can read Zhvanetsky or Dovlatov. I am very close to Dostoevsky's novel "The Brothers Karamazov".

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The psychotherapist asked me again and again "What do you want from me." Again and again. And I kissed him. It was in a group where there were 12 more people. It was amazing and scary at the same time. For me it was the first kiss in my life. A strange story.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can take pictures, I can sing with you. I can tell you about how our thoughts and cognitive attitudes affect our emotions and somatics. I can teach how to cook a delicious REAL shaverma from St. Petersburg.
I would like to learn how to cook something from your culture. I'm interested in learning foreign languages.

I can tell national Evenki tales, few know them.
