Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To see the world, have productive conversations with interesting people, learn about myself, and not spend too much time in the comfort zone.
I recently moved to Barcelona to learn about the BRAIN :)
ABOUT ME
There´s quite a lot I´m still trying to figure out...
BUT, I´d say I´m a fun-loving, open-minded, and curious soul that is eager to figure out what my existence on this planet means and what I can learn from being here.
PHILOSOPHY
Always be yourself.
Y...siempre sale el sol.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
However I can! I host when I have the space to do so and surf when I travel to new places. I love the idea of seeing a city through a local's perspective.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I was introduced to this couchsurfing thing by my friend Adam and I think it's fantastic! I first couchsurfed during my backpacking trip throughout Western Europe in 2013. Since then, I have hosted and continued to surf in my varying travels. I have met some pretty special people on here, and have made some awesome connections :)
Interests
Scuba diving, rock climbing, psychology/neuroscience, traveling, helping people help themselves, conversations over wine, dance, reading good books, watching foreign films, eating food (especially when it's Thai, Indian, or Ethiopian), hiking (I grew up in the PNW of the US, after all...), CATS, and the list goes on...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Hiked for 5 days in Patagonia (Torres del Paine), having never before done a backpacking trip, let alone walked with a large backpack weighing me down...
...then a year later climbed 5,000 ft up Volcán Acatenango in Guatemala in jeans and keds to watch lava spewing out of Volcán Fuego (this was totally unplanned, but worth it.)
Moved to Spain on my own, became fluent in Spanish, and am now studying a Master's in Spanish 4 years later :)
Fostered CATS! Obviously.
Teach, Learn, Share

I´ve been very lucky to gain a great deal of insight about mental health, the US criminal justice system, and just...humanity as a whole, through my work in forensics and community mental health. I would love to chat with you about it, but beware: if you get me started, you may not be able to shut me up...
