One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I once participated in a volunteering project in Sicily, where I met lots of nice young people and very friendly Italian locals.

But probably the dearest memory of mine is connected to my wee one-day trip in Scotland, when i was staying there for two weeks. I wanted to see Loch Ness and its surroundings, for it was my biggest childhood dream. To get there I needed to make a bunch of changes, taking trains and buses, starting from Aberdeen (where i was staying) finishing at Drumnadrochit. My friend was not so excited about waking up at 6am for it, so I went all on my own. It was cold outside, the early January, but it was beautiful. I saw sheep graze freely, the weather change every 15 minutes from sunny to cloudy, Urquhart Castle and, of course, Loch Ness itself. Standing there, just at the top of the castle, gazing at the beauty of the Scottish nature, I never felt any happier and calmer. My dream had just become true.
