About Me

I'm a 26 years old phylologist and language teacher. I was student of Slavistics for several years, but I’ve never graduated (long story). My last specialization was Croatian language and culture, but some years before it used to be Swedish and earlier Serbian. I'm just fond of learning foreign languages and teaching foreign languages and talking about them… ok, I think you got the idea. :D
Don't want to lie: I'm not very social person. You know, not "hi, I see u the first time in my life, great, let's go get drunk!" type of person. People usually think I'm shy.
But I really enjoy meeting new people from different countries and cultures. It's always interesting to talk and share experience.
Also, I don't smoke, but I'm used to be surrounded by smokers.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

The first time I heard about Couchsurfing, I thought the idea was great. But I've never really used the opportunity. Don't know why, really.
Unfortunately, I can’t host people in my flat nowadays, because there're too many of my relatives in here. But I hope, one day I'll have enough money for my own flat and then I'll be able to host people :)

Interests

First of all I like reading, both fiction and books about history and culture. When I'm travelling I prefer walking and sometimes visiting museums (but not all the time, thank you very much!) And as I'm fond of cooking, I’m always trying to find out something about national cousine of other countries.

I also like hiking and camping, sometimes rafting as well (although I’m not very sporty) and I sometimes I go LARP-ing, which is quite popular hobby in Russia. I like boardgames as well: Citadels, Call of Cthulhu, Dixit... I think I like everything, except maybe Monopoly.

I'm also making jewellery and I'm interested in handmade in general.

Music, Movies, and Books

I listen to almost everything (maybe not fully understandin rap), but my favorite is folk music. And "Queen".

I really love Tolkien's books. My favorite book series is "Jeeves and Wooster". But it's hard to say what I actually prefer in reading. A bit of classic-literature (only I hate Dostojevsky), a bit of fantasy, a bit of comedy. I don't know.

Speaking of films I usually prefer comedies or maybe drama. Oh, and I like Guy Ritchie's films.
Series... My favourite is "Firefly". Of more recent ones, I think "Stranger things", "Sherlock BBC", "Game of Thrones", "Rick an Morty", "Gravity Falls".

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can cook som Russian food, tell about everyday life in Russia, teach you a bit of Russian language or any other language I know. :) I can also help you around the house if needed.
If you are going to visit Moscow one day I can show you the city or just provide you with necessary information about places to go, transport system, etc.
