Overview
About Me
Now I am living in Yan chen, China and working as an English Teacher.
According to Internet tests (haha), my true calling in life is either to become “a writer” or “a practical, self-reliant, transformative organizer”. But I’m not a great believer in tests because as well as statistics they are not very reliable and truthful.
All I know, I enjoy traveling and get acquainted with everything new: foreign cuisine, tastes, people, activity, etc.
My friends say that I am a responsible and reliable person, but at the same time funny and easy-going.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I consider myself very adaptable, also mobile and keen to explore. I happily spend time traveling or even camping and easily find friends. So “home” is there I feel safe and comfortable, not the place where my belongings and a refrigerator are. :) My friends call me a cosmopolitan with a wanderlust.
Through Couchsurfing, I hope to interact with people from all over the world and share our experiences and knowledge.
Interests
I feel happy when I'm doing something I am fond of. For example, traveling, spending time with my friends, challenging myself and winning, learning the meaning of a new English idiom or tasting the foreign cuisine.
My most important objective is to become happier. As they say, if every morning you are eager to go to work and every evening are glad to go home, you are the truly happy person. My solution is to find a work that I'll be fond of.
Music, Movies, and Books
Usually, in books and movies, I prefer Mysteries and Thrillers.
In this century my favorite movie so far is a french comedy-drama film: "The Intouchables" with François Cluzet and Omar Sy.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Actually, I felt that my biggest achievement is yet to come! But the achievement I’m genuinely proud of is that for the last 3 years I have been reading, watching and listening to only on English. I'm very dedicated and for this period, my vocabulary has increased almost 4 times. Now I know approximately 16 000 words and expressions, which allows me to read contemporary literature without a dictionary. But nonetheless, I don’t stop studying and learning. I try to broaden horizons of my knowledge both in Russian language and accordingly in English.
Now I live and work in China as an English Teacher, and I've started to learn Chinese. This is a new challenge for me :)
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach some Russian language. I had a couple of students :)))
I am eager to learn local culture.
I am ready to share all my travelling experience and funny stories along the way.
