Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have had a couple of wonderful experiences in Canada, Couch surfing has helped me discover wonder, both in people and place form. I dont have a couch at the moment, but sometime soon i might.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have only surfed twice but each time was as delightful as it was unique.

Interests

Built things and building things interest me. Climbing on, up or over things. Running across things. Drawing things. Most things.

I would like to make a tree house.

Music, Movies, and Books

The Science of Sleep, On the Road, Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance, The Moldy Peaches, Lau, Gogol Bordello,MGMT, The Lancaster/Hanover Masque (John Hejduk), The Jungle Book, Call of the Wild, Into the Wild, Where the Wild things Are, Kim, Keep the Aspidistras Flying, Down and Out in Paris and London.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Floating in a dug out canoe with a macushi friend in rainy season, knocking against the trunks of trees sunk 15' in the flood, fishing for pirai and mangee on a hand line with a bow and arrow at our feet and watching howler monkeys lazily watch us from the upper branches. That was something I'll never forget.

A drunk bicycle riding tuchau (village chief) once threatened to fetch his bow and arrow and shoot me for stealing his mud, which I'd smeared on my arms to protect from the sun the time Paddy and I tried to walk 90 miles to Lethem with only a bottle of vodka and a machete.

Teach, Learn, Share

Drawing drawings, cooking coconut noodle soup, climbing trees, climbing rocks, architecting, ideas having, story telling, model making, juggling up to 4 things, baking breads, some bicycle fixing, bird identifying: these I can share or teach.

I would like to build things with my hands. I would like to learn caving and kayaking and how to fix a bicycle.

Countries I’ve Visited

Brazil, Canada, Morocco, Venezuela

Countries I’ve Lived In
