About Me
Hi! My name is Olimpia, but I prefer to be called Olli :)
I'm 24 years old and I studied Speech Therapy in Ferrara, a very beautiful city in the north of Italy where I lived for three years.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
A friend told me about couchsurfing and I immediately fell in love with this idea. I think having the opportunity of meeting many locals and of living the city not only as a tourist is a very very very great thing!
Interests
My greatest interest is music! My parents are musicians and they transmitted me their passion. I really like to sing and write songs: only a few friends listened them 'cause I'm a bit ashamed!! But when I go to the gardens with friends and a guitar, I really love to relax on the ground drinking something and singing madly!
I also really like theatre: I did some simple shows playing different characters both male and female, but Cyrano de Bergerac is my favourite because we have something in common: a big nose! I empathize with those who have a big nose. Hehehe
I'd like to say that sport is my interest, but this is not exactly how things are :P but recently a friend took me to climb and it was great!! Maybe it will become a true interest ;)

Music, Movies, and Books
I like different kinds of music and when I go to other Italian regions or to other countries I really enjoy listening to traditional music of the place (I generally like to know other cultures!).
I don't have favourite movies, but I'd say that a film that I saw recently and I was very impressed by is Vertigo by Hitchcock (even though I could not sleep for a week).
A book I read recently is "The Death of Ivan Ilyich" (Tolstoy): I know, it isn't too cheerful, but I like its irony and I think that it allowed me to reflect about human relationships
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
One day, when I was a child, I fell in love with a frog, but fortunately it was a platonic love.
Teach, Learn, Share
What can I teach? It's hard to tell it on the spot. It's a tricky question and my English is not good enough to write about difficult issues (even with the help of Google translator!). So, I will answer concretely: I fell I could be a great teacher in cooking pastas, also homemade one! I care about it. I'm Italian and pasta is important. Remember. The rest we'll found together, knowing us ;)
I'd like to learn as much as possible about other countries: culture, daytime life and nightlife, most popular places but also less popular one...and of course your language, or at least a few words!
The thing I would like to share more is my interest in music, but I think that people have so many passions that will be interesting to share anything!
What I Can Share with Hosts
I'd like to share not only a house, but possibly a good experience in knowing each other :)
