About Me

CURRENT MISSION

See new places through the eyes of real people, live in the present, learn new things

ABOUT ME

I am from Denver/Boulder Colorado, and feel as though my geography has shaped me in significant ways. I love the outdoors with a passion, and am always up for a hike or adventure that involves climbing trees, river jumping, scaling natural or man made objects and testing my strength. I am also equally down to chill on a couch with a beer and spliff, (or not) whatever suits the mood, I am easy going.

I'm an idealist, Hedonist and working on my pragamatism. I always try to see things in a positive light, but enjoy being brought back down to reality.
I am a firm believer in balance as a concept, state of mind and way of living. If we as humans learned to live in homeostasis with our environment, ourselves and each other-to give as much as we take, much would be different. I hope one day to live like a ninja, a ninja living in the trees would be ideal.

I am currently a college student at Boston University studying Theatre at a conservatory. I love creating work, and I hope to use the performing arts to illuminate alternative ways of thinking and living. I also love to make people laugh- whether it's at me or at themselves. we could all do with some loosening up.

I'm currently studying physical theatre, clowning and Commedia Dell'arte in Tuscany as apart of my study abroad, and can't wait to see Europe in all its golden grungy glory.
When I'm not at school I'm hanging out in parks, or cafes, I work at Red Rocks Amphitheater selling Hemp ice cream to all the concert goers during the summer. I live for live music of (almost) all kinds. I love kids, I find I learn the most from them. I love dogs, and all animals.

I live by the phrase "The greatest thing you'll ever learn is just to love and be loved in return." (Eden Ahbez)

PHILOSOPHY

Treating myself like I'd expect a friend to treat me. Indulging in the simple beauties of this world-pleasure-in all its forms. Giving people the benefit of the doubt, love & art heal all.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I want to be a part of community that gives trust back to each other. There are so many good people out there-more good than bad, and yet we live in a world where mainstream culture tell us the opposite. A world full of fear and isolation. I don't want to fall into the trappings of this mainstream mindset, but instead am looking to meet amazing people, sleep on somewhat nice couches, and practice what I preach.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: Bourne Identity series, Almost Famous, Pride & Prejudice, The Birdcage, Pan's Labrynth, Dexter (not a movie), Curse of the Golden Flower, Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon, Hero, Kill Bill 1 & 2, Blow, Into the Wild, La Femme Nikita, Pineapple Express. Open to suggestions!

Led Zeppelin has and always will soothe my soul-I like to listen to "That's the way" and "Going to California" and imagine driving the PCH in California along the water, with sun, sand and wind in my hair. It is my ideal.
Love Gregory Alan Isakov and alot of other folk. Love most hip hop (Blue Scholars, Cunninlynguists), actually anything with a dirty beat, anything to groove to hits the spot.
Any music that sets my feet on fire, or soothes my heart or has a soul is good by me. Except heavy metal, not a fan. At all.

Books: Gabriel Garcia Marquez & Harry Potter

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Robert Plant in tight leather pants and long graying curly locks, no shoes and still singing with that sexy voice of his.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you acrobatics (handstands, headstands, cartwheels, rolls and lifts)

I Love philosophical discussions about anything and everything. Enjoy when my views are challenged, as it help me to solidify why and what I believe what I do, I also hope that my view of the world can equally change or at least pique the interest of others.

I am curious about any and all trades/artisan-craft work/working with my hands, and in return can you teach you massage techniques.

I want to refine my Gardening skills and hope one day to be completely self-sustainable.
I also would love to learn how to play the guitar, and in return can teach you how to play the harp (if you have one!) I have played since I was 6, I also love to sing, maybe we can sing together?

Let's teach each other games (cards, outdoors, anything and everything), I love having fun in simple ways, and love to avoid spending money at any cost! I find I have the most fun, sitting around with a group of wonderful people, sharing stories, and entertaining.
