I haven't spent much time using this yet - I enjoyed an amazing trip to Paris in winter 2012, and experienced what I ideally thought I might have done, having heard friends' tales of amazing hosts and fulfilling encounters. When I lived somewhere in London that had space, we hosted a couple of travelers, whom I hope to see again some day.
The reason I am here is to facilitate cultural exchange and unexpected connections free from the damning effects of exchanging money - I like the kind of 'gift economy' this inspires.

Enseignez, apprenez, partagez

I have a few 'signature' (habitual) dishes I could cook for you. Currently cooking a lot from an excellent Indian cook book. I think all I'm good for is general 'have you seen/read/heard this person/group/thing' type conversations, or providing food.
I can also play the guitar and mandolin but that'd be dull. I should learn a craft (currently learning to knit, would that do? I'll find something more exciting...)
