About Me

Taking things as they come. The question of balancing between expectations and the unexpected remains. But mostly I manage to avoid expectations.
During my free time I tend to surround myself with literature and music (theoretically and occasionally practically). Other times I usually end up walking or generally wandering around (a bicycle can add a welcoming extra dimension to it).

Should mention: a lacto-ovo vegetarian (who sometimes eats fish, so not really a vegetarian).

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

There is a synergy between Couchsurfing and hitchhiking. And hitchhiking has been my preferred way to travel.
Met loads of truly kind and intriguing people, hosting as well as surfing. The idea itself is very humane - and there's certainly not an abundance of humanity in the world.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music
If I'd have to name a single artist then it would be John Frusciante. But lately more psychedelic/stoner/acid rock. Jam bands etc. Grateful to The Grateful Dead. Ambient is nice as well.

Movies.
Tarkovsky, von Trier and Malick always work. Also Zvyagintsev and Ceylan. And Ari Folman's 'The Congress' is something very special.

Books.
Auster, Kundera, Lessing, Pessoa, Pynchon, HST, Woolf. And Tom Wolfe's 'The Electric Kool-Aid Acid Test' deserves a special mention.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Well, hiking in the mountains in Norway was quite fantastic. Definitely need more mountains in my life.

Teach, Learn, Share

Whatever is on my mind, really. Every single day is full of lessons (learning is the complicated part).
To be more precise: I'm always ready to show some basics on the guitar or piano.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Time and thoughts and being as such.
Generally: whatever I am capable of; I don't mind helping out with whatever needs to be helped out with.
