I lived on a remote island in Alaska until I was 17 with my 8 siblings and have been traveling ever since to broaden my world view and experience life as much as possible. I work as field staff for Northwest Youth Corps leading groups of 16-19 year olds in the wildernesses of Oregon, Washington, Idaho, and California as we complete public service projects, build trails, and learn about the natural world for 5 weeks at a time. My job is really rewarding and affords me plenty of time off for travel. In addition to spending time in the woods I like to go to concerts and festivals like Oregon Country Fair and Burningman, read a lot of books, go on bicycle tours and road trips, and fix all of my own stuff. I have currently been experimenting with tailoring my own clothes and replacing my stuff with things that I have made. Learning the banjo.

I was introduced to couch surfing through some friends and have been welcomed by such an amazing community. I am here to share stories and make connections with people I never would have met otherwise. I hope to contribute to the community and host people when I am able.

Folk music is my favorite by far, but I enjoy almost all genres. I am willing to go to any live show almost 100% of the time.

I enjoy reading non-fiction, biographies, and accounts of adventure. Also big Game of Thrones fan. I used to work as a librarian and I will ogle your bookshelf. I am also a fan of poetry particularly Robert Service and Rimbaud.
