About Me
I grew up in the mountains in Pennsylvania, and I now live in Philadelphia where I am studying nutrition and working in a restaurant.
I love music and concerts and have been to a couple music festivals. I enjoy meeting new people and learning about their stories and lives.
Fashion and clothing are hobbies of mine, and I’ve made a lot of clothing. I’m an amateur, but i’m also getting into film photography. I love art and philosophy and am always open for discussion. I enjoy nature, especially plants and gardening. I love to visit museums, drink, spend time outside, and cook.
As a nutrition major and someone who has worked in food service, I love food. Eating it, talking about it, making it, trying something new!
I’m very open-minded and laid back. I love a conversation that can make me think critically or do some reflection.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Couch surfing is so valuable to me. Stepping into someone’s life briefly and getting to learn about them, their culture, their interests, and life always surprises me. Nothing excites me more than learning something new. At first I thought it was just a good way to travel on a budget, but after having a few experiences I see it’s so much more than that.
I believe there is so much more to see in the world than just the major tourist attractions, and I value getting tips from locals. I appreciate cultural differences and there is so much to learn from new people and places.
I couch surfed in Venice and it was an amazing experience and I had a beautiful time. I also couch surfed in Brussels, and got to experience a great deal for the 2 days I was there, thanks to my host.
I watched France win the world cup while in Paris with a friend I met through couch surfing. It's amazing how you can meet people and make real connections when travelling alone.
