I am originally from Memphis, Tennessee in the south part of the United States. But, no, sadly I do not have an accent. I am in my 3rd year of college and study sociology. I think I want to go into social work or nonprofit management. I love meeting new people and learning new things. I like telling people stories and hearing other people's stories. I like animals and LOVE dogs. My favorite foods are cookie dough and mac and cheese (two things that are very easy to make and I could totally make for you).

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

I am currently studying abroad in Turku, Finland (about 2 hours south of Helsinki) and am on a mission to see as much of Europe as I can. I would love to meet locals and see their city from their point of view and I think Couchsurfing is a great way to do that! (Not to mention the money it saves :D )

While traveling, I really want to see as many historical sights as possible. The more ancient ruin-y, the better.

Music: I love all types of music. Both of my parents are classically trained music teachers. I grew up playing the piano and guitar. I fooled around with the harp a bit when my sister was learning and played the violin for a year before I realized I hated it XD. My hometown of Memphis is typically known for R&B (home of Elvis Presley and Justin Timberlake) and one of my greatest regrets in life is not being able to rap. But really I love all kinds of music.

Movies: The Men Who Stare at Goats, Lars and the Real Girl, Selma, Phoebe in Wonderland, anything by Tim Burton and anything with Johnny Depp or Rachel McAdams, I've also recently gotten really into superhero movies

Books: anything by John Green, I grew up on Harry Potter and probably reread the series eight times

I am just recently learning how to cook without burning things, but I am a great baker! I can teach you how to make all kinds of baked goods from the U.S. including my family's legendary chocolate cake (or just make it for you)! I am also planning on traveling through most of Europe, so if you'd like me to bring you a souvenir from somewhere special, it's entirely possible =)
As a college student, I don't have a ton of money to throw around, but if you need a bit of help cleaning up or preparing a meal or even walking the dog, I am more than happy to help!
