I've just made it to the bitter end of my undergraduate degree at the University of Birmingham in BA Modern Languages (French and Chinese) with Business Management .. I lived in France for 3 months last summer and have just come back from a year in Beijing China where I studied at Tsinghua University.

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

I am living in London this summer, and I am looking to meet new people as I was shown such kindness and generosity by the Couchsurfing community when I was living abroad myself.

I also have a project I am working on (see link: https://66hands.wordpress.com/) whereby I interview Chinese people about a whole host of various social phenomenon, whilst backing up any claims with research and statistics. I started the project having come back from a solo travel trip when I was living in Beijing on exchange at Tsinghua ... and the goal is ultimately to seek to 'bridge the gap' between China and the UK by enhancing understanding and empathy through the voice of a Chinese native (and not another unassuming, white British person trying to tell China what it should be like).

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

Cultural exchange in India for a month living with an Indian family at the age of 16... A study programme in China mainly involving lots of karaoke and trying to rescue chickens from street food stalls.. I also worked on a farm in Italy for a month when I was 18
