Overview
About Me
I recently graduated as an undergrad in Women's and Gender Studies at the University of Oregon. I am very passionate about the work that I do and being involved in creative and active projects. It has been a dream of mine to travel after graduation not only to explore the world but to learn more about people, communities, and myself. I have had the privilege of traveling with my family when I was younger and want to deepen those experiences by staying with locals and building relationships with new people. One day I hope to do work that allows me to continue traveling and more specifically involves food. I care a lot about the food we put in our bodies and the seeds we put into the earth. I believe that food brings people together as it is something we all need for nourishment. There is a lot more I could say about this and myself but I will save that for the possibility of our meeting!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
As I mentioned in the about me section, one of the main things I want out of traveling is meeting people who live in the area whether they are locals or not and Couchsurfing is an affordable and easy way to do so. I have hosted couchsurfers at a home I lived in in the past and met some amazing people through that. For a while I intend to be the couchsurfer myself, but once I settle I plan to make space for people to stay with me.
Interests
I love to do things that involve being with people as much as I love activities that I do in solitude. I love to cook with and for people, go on hikes (nature is my jam!), I've also been exploring the world of backpacking. I like having productive conversations where people including myself are open to changing their original opinions. Being from sunny Los Angeles, and just being a human I absolutely love the beach and any type of body of water that I can swim in. I'm genuinely interested in the outcomes and responses that life can bring when I am open to all possibilities and directions.

Music, Movies, and Books
Borderlands by Gloria Anzaldua. Seriously that is a book I carry everywhere with me. These topics are always the most difficult for me....though I do love the films Waking Life, Born in Flames, School of Rock annndd Sound of Music :)

Teach, Learn, Share
The insufficiencies of capitalism are finally becoming visible and it is a lifestyle that cannot sustain our world. Travel however requires money, but I believe it is crucial for learning about new ways of living ways, of understanding what it means to survive and of making new relationships. Let's have conversations around how to radically change this through new ideas like CS so that travel can be accessible to all people. There is a lot of privilege many of us, especially myself that we carry in different ways so let's take accountability of it and use it to the services and visions we believe in.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Food! I love to cook, eat and learn about food all over the world. I am a very relaxed positive and respectful person, if I do say so myself and open to many ways of living. I am also really flexible and believe that what I have to share is different from person to person/home to home.
