About Me

I am a newbie to couchsurfing, so apologies if I'm a bit cautious a first! I've had lots of friends use it and rave about how many amazing people they've met through it so I'd thought I'd give it a go and hope to do the same!

I'm a kiwi born and bred, from a wee town called Lyttelton famous for it's folk music and artsy community. It was badly affected by the Christchurch Earthquakes, but as at the beginning of July this years it's thriving again -
if any of you are heading to NZ I highly recommend you stop by!

Currently I'm living in Auckland so that I can continue working in the film and television industry. I just finished working on a US TV series (being filmed in Auckland, NZ) called Ash Vs Evil Dead and need a break! I'm escaping to Europe for the end of summer & until the start of winter.

I love cooking and dancing, I used to be one of NZ's best salsa dancers (humble brag?) so I'd love to get back into dancing while I travel & see if the muscle memory is still there.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Hoping to meet some interesting and inspirational people who might help me think up a film idea or two. If you do I'll happily credit you ;)

I'm a budget traveller, but have also always been keen to try and see the cities and towns I visit as the people who live in them see them. I'd love if you could recommend me your favourite café or vintage clothing shop, and if you're up for it I'd love to go dancing with you!

Music, Movies, and Books

I love all different types of music - indie, funk, rock, acoustic, salsa, pop, hip hop... But I have a major guilty pleasure for old school 80's ballads & dance music.

Favourite Films Include: The Graduate, The Virgin Suicides, Lost in Translation, Melancholia, Diary of a Teenage Girl, The Holiday (major cheese).

I've gone in and out of love with books but determined to get back into reading them, on a beach of possible. Would love any recommendations please!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I went on a night dive in Thailand after I completed my open water license - as I was descending my torch stopped working! I couldn't see anything or anyone, I've never been so terrified in my life!

Luckily I (somehow) kept my cool and manage to keep going until I saw one of the rest of my teams torch lights, they had a spare torch thank god!

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you a few basic salsa steps & how to make a great pasta sauce from scratch!

I'd love to learn a different language, or the secret for how to travel forever.

Share stories, ideas and laughter!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share my thoughts, film recommendations, exciting moments and laughter. If you're lucky I might even be able to share a pineapple lump (NZ Lolly) or two with you.

I also am really good and plaiting hair - free hair stylist?
