About Me

Hi! I'm a 22 year old Cognitive Science student at UC Berkeley! I'm in the process of training for my first half-marathon, I love ceramics, and I work as a research assistant in the Center for Human Sleep Science on the UC Berkeley campus. My partner, Carter, and I are both students who love to eat, chat, and explore the local area. Together, we like to cook, play frisbee in the adjacent park, and get them degrees.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

While I was an au pair in Germany for a year, Carter lived in Ecuador for three months and backpacked around Europe for three months. We love traveling and travelers, we've hitchhiked and benefitted from the extreme generosity of others, and now we would love to open our home to people passing through this beautiful, eclectic area. Hopefully, if we get some good reviews, we will be able to travel abroad on couchsurfing in the future!

We are also happy to provide guests a place to just have as a home-base as they explore the beautiful Bay Area. As we're students, we're pretty busy and can't always be around to hang out, but we will definitely share a meal if you stay with us!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I was an au pair for a year for 3 children that didn't speak English, so I had to learn German and fast. While in Germany, I was asked to push a bus in the middle of nowhere, I learned how to drink, I took 9 hour buses for a 20 hour stay in Prague, made some amazing friends, and traveled to Rome by myself.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you how to make espresso drinks and possibly some latte art (on a good day)! Because that's a useful skill!

What I Can Share with Hosts

Great conversation, cooking, jokes and laughs, quiet (if desired) and stories!

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Costa Rica, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Mexico, Netherlands, Nicaragua, Northern Ireland, Spain, United Kingdom

Countries I’ve Lived In
