I'm half Italian half English. I really enjoy travelling and would like to do it more. I think that couch surfing is a great concept and will make travelling more interesting. I haven't been able to do it yet, but friends and family have always had amazing experiences! When I travel I tend not to do touristy stuff (except the few unmissable!) and generally enjoy walking around for hours. I love music (any kind really..), I love reading, I love the sea, food and exploring. I'm curious and adapt well to every environment. I enjoy both company and solitude. I'm studying Anthropology at University in London and I like to use time between terms to travel around as much as I can.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To meet new people and see places with the eyes of the locals. I travel by myself occasionally and it is nice to know at least one person in a foreign country! I also think that couch surfing is a really great and useful use of social media.

Interests

I'm interested in a lot of things... I enjoy art in every form. I like music and I'm always open to listening to new stuff as well as sharing my personal favourites. I like to read books about China's culture and history, among others. I like talking and listening to people and their ideas. I'd like to take pictures but I haven't got a camera at the moment..so... I have to stick with my phone. Anyway I'm interested in a lot of things that I don't even know yet.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: there's just too many to mention... I would say Patti Smith and The White stripes, off the top of my head... and also Portishead, Velvet Underground, LCD Soundsystem, MGMT, Arcade Fire, Connan Mockassin, Animal Collective, Nina Simone, WHY?, Ariel Pink and so many more.
Movies:.. Some of my favourite directors are Terrence Malick, Warner Herzog, Harmony Korine, Larry Clarke, Lynne Ramsay... I don't know about my favourite film though.
Books: The Count of Monetcristo, Wild Swans, Lord of the Flies, Patti Smith's 'Just kids', The Grapes of Wrath....I generally really like biographies, I don't know why.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I haven't done anything extremely amazing... BUT, I did do bungee jumping on the sea from a bridge in the Corinth canal in Greece and it was pretty cool and one of the most fun days of my life.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can talk for hours about books, films, music, travels and places, and I'm pretty sure a lot of other people can, so that's already a lot to learn, teach and share.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can tell them why I wanted to visit the place where they live and tell them what I like about it. They probably have something to say about it too since they like it enough to live in it. I can tell them about the place I come from and I'm definitely happy to share experiences from my life and listen to theirs.
