Currently a nurse at the Mayo Clinic working with patients recovering from heart surgeries. Though the heart // circulatory system is one of my main passions, I also love cooking for hours on end, listening to records that my parents loved in their 20s, getting my money's worth at all-you-can-eat sushi bars, and learning at least one new thing every day.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

For two years in college, I lived in a cooperative housing community with 50 other members, which helped me learn to genuinely appreciate people and the kindness // love // wisdom within them. I'm hoping Couchsurfing gives me the opportunity to meet more incredible people on the journeys I take (or, at least, a couch to sleep on in the company of kind strangers)

Music - I was raised on Detroit-based garage rock like The Gories and The Dirtbombs, but I also love psychedelic rock // indie folk like Mac Demarco, Tame Impala, and Sufjan Stevens.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've fully convinced my brain that there isn't a consumable item that I can't teach myself to like - I've taught myself to appreciate black coffee, red wine and IPAs, and even brussel sprouts, and I’ve tried various other foods like fermented shark and jellyfish. Not bad, to be honest.
