Overview
About Me
I am a man who's already spend half of his life (well... I hope so !) and knows about the value of each moment of the present time.
A bit less seriously (because I'm never really serious except in my job): I am curious about meeting up new people from abroad to share each other's past experiences - bad or good and laugh at them together.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
My appartment is empty one week out of two because my kids are with their mother, so why staying alone when I could meet up interesting people ?
Interests
- My kids, but this is kind of private...
- Hiking, climbing, ski-touring in the Alps, and everywhere in the mountains of this planet.
- Travelling, again and again and discover new ways of living, new cultures, amazing wild landscapes and remote places.
- Photography when travelling: I could spend entire days walking in a city to photograph people and their daily life. Sometimes I ask myself if this would not become a second job one day, or maybe in another life. The thing is I like very much the job I presently have, so why bother at the moment ? ...
- Vipassana meditation and everything related to godless spirituality.

Music, Movies, and Books
Movies: Fargo, Arizona Dreams, Wintersleep, The Salt of the Earth, Mission (back to 1985 or something !), Kill Bill... and many more I can't remember now plus many SF-movies, old ones (Blade Runner, Dune, the Alien saga) and more recent ones, with a the top, of course: ........ Star Wars !
Books: my favorite authors are John Irving, Gabriel Garcia Marquez, Jorge Luis Borges, Mario Vargas Llosa, Paulo Coehlo, Michel Houellebecq, and some others.
Music: rock and pop, jazz (Keith Jarret Trio, funk jazz), latino music (not talking about Buena Vista Social Club, Eliades Ochoa), arabic music (Natacha Atlas, turkish and north-african, including Touareg style, e.g Tamikrest), and also some unavoidable classics for piano (Nocturnes of Chopin, Debussy, Bach, ...)
