My main goal is to remain curious and open-minded, to meet new people around the world, so as to improve myself and to acquire more knowledge.

ABOUT ME

I am rather quiet and easy-going person, I feel enthusiastic about a lot of things, especially when I am travelling ! I like to learn from the others and to think about philosophical or sociological issues, without any judgement. Sometimes I like to escape in my dreams and to create new places or new stories in my head.. But most of the time I am a very sociable person, who goes out with friends, either for a cultural event... or just to drink some beers ! I really like to dance, but I dare not always do it ^^

I am not passionate, but try to consider the opinions of each, without prejudice.

PHILOSOPHY

Trying to get free from violence and passion, and trying to observe, meditate upon each thing around you as if it were the first time that you saw it. Trying to keep the look of a child with the mind of an adult.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am currently living in a small appartment in the suburb of Paris, not very convenient to host people, unfortunately... But I would like to use Couchsurfing to meet people from the cities I discover, to have a deeper understanding of the way they live, of their homeplaces, and to share also something of my culture and my world :)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have made Couchsurfing in Scotland and in Germany (Dresden, Nürenberg, Heidelberg, Tübingen). Always very nice and hospitable people. In Scotland, one polnish guy hosted six people in his small house, playing accordion and telling about his childhood in a small polnish village, very good memories ! One particularly great experience was also in Tübingen : i was hosted by a francophile family who offered me a delicious meal and invited me to visit the city at night.

Interests

My main activities, during my leisure time, are reading, writing, watching movies, or drawing. I'm very curious, and I'm interested in learning things, especially about history and arts.
I also like to go out with friends, to have fun and to meet other people.

Films : my last favorite movies : Parasite, Mademoiselle (Park Chan Wook), Only lovers left alive (Jim Jarmush), The Tree of life (Terrence Malick)

Music : Electro, folk, world, jazz... actually a lot of different genres ! Bonobo, Tricky, Grimes, Eivor, Chelsea Wolfe, Apparat, Caribou, Little Dragon, so many others...

Books : Poetry (Rimbaud, Mallarmé, Verlaine, Laforgue), Céline : Voyage au bout de la nuit, Cohen : Belle du Seigneur, Gracq : Un Balcon en Forêt ; André Breton and the surrealists, etc.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Listening to "Starway to heaven" into the wild, in the middle of Norway, while looking at the stars. Old but very moving memory.

A three-week trip in Viet Nam with a vietnamese friend, from North to South : so many landscapes and thrilling buildings, so much fun and so unexpected surprises during this trip !

Teach, Learn, Share

I can talk about many cultural subjects with the people I meet : literature (it is my university cursus), but also art, cinema, philosophy, politics... All these subjects fascinate me, and even if I have not the pretence to teach something deep and new, I can bring my few knowledges in this realm.
