CURRENT MISSION

A 9-to-12 months travel on the globe going East from Belgium, after 3 years working.

ABOUT ME

From February 2013, Muriel and I will leave Belgium for a 9-to-12 months travel on the globe. We together edited the profile below to reflects both of our character features and make one common profile description.

Olivier:
I was born with the umbilical cord coiled three times around my neck so much I had moved in my mom womb. Child, I was what we can call a hyperactive. Now I move less "physically" but I still have to liven myself up.
I am intuitive, passionate and broadminded. I guess these character features led me naturally to studying industrial engineering (specialised in nuclear physics). I then worked two years as a mechanical engineer in an areonautics company quite important and famous in my hometown, Liège. There I designed, manufactured and installed test facilities for aircraft engines. In the meantime, I also undertook a Master in Management.

Muriel :
I am integer, brave and sometimes reserved, I am looking for new adventures. I worked for three year in a lawyer office where I was work-addict.

PHILOSOPHY

... But so far : "We can never know what to want, because, living only one life, we can neither compare it with our previous lives nor perfect it in our lives to come."

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We are just actively introducing ourselves to CS.
Olivier did participate by hanging around with some travellers when he was in Australia or by joining to some CS meetings. Now that we both moved together in our own flat, we can host people.

Music : A bit of everythink, mainly Rock in a car at maximum volume.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

For my work (aeronautics field), I have assembled a 12m gun barrel designed to shoot dummy bird in an engine fan placed in vacuum and have shot such gelatine bird.

Well, we could also teach you some Belgian dishes and if you come in BE we can naturally lead you to best places in town.
