Overview
About Me
French musician (bass player) and traveller, I'm a native and a lover of Provence. I play jazz but I listen to many different kinds of music. Curious, open-minded and love to learn!
Please, don't judge me for my english mistakes here... I apologize if it burns your eyes. We can write in french if you want, or if you're not tolerant about english grammatical mistakes haha ;-)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
A whole life isn't enough to see the world... Let's make it easier with couchsurfing!
I would like to travel around the world, explore new places and meet new people from many different countries. Also, I would be happy to host you (and eventually show you nice things around) if you want to discover Provence, my birth place.
Travels make us more aware, more conscious about the world I guess... So let's share it together! :-)

Music, Movies, and Books
Music:
So much things...As a musician, I am extremely open-minded and curious about every kind of music. I prefer when it's performed by people on instruments, but I love being surprised by electro stuffs too ;-).
Some of my favorites, but not only those ones:
John Coltrane, Charles Mingus, Duke Ellington (Ok, I stop now with jazz, it could take me one hour to list everybody and I will suffer about forgetting someone haha), Radiohead, Björk, The Doors, Joy Division, Georges Brassens, Léo Ferré, JS Bach, Dvorak, Maurice Ravel, Gustav Holst, Gustav Mahler... Let's say that I love Jazz, blues, rock, classical music (from middle age music to contemporary music), traditionnal musics. In the past, I've listened to metal and Hip hop stuffs too, but today I'm not very aware of those styles ;-)
Some of my favorite novels:
1984 (Orwell), Brave New World (Huxley), all Boris Vian books, les Onze Milles Verges (Apollinaire)... My favorite writers: Flaubert, Sartre, Maupassant, Stendhal, Hunter S. Thompson...
I also like to read philosophical books, and everything related about music. Yes, I've read plenty of jazz musicians biographies !
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I travelled in NYC for 10 days at fall 2014, and I had a total immersion in jazz music there (I took a lesson with the great jazz master Ron Carter). And it litterally changed my life. Since this time, I want to travel more and more, play more and more music... Not a crazy adventure, but a milestone in my life.
