About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Study in Porto Alegre

ABOUT ME

My name is Olle, (tricky phonetics - looking forward to your interpretation) and I am from Stockholm.

I'm interested in you - read: "people", your perspectives in life and in your world as well as music, which drives mine. I also enjoy traveling because it makes me feel free and let's me meet people from around the world.

I love finding passion about things and I thrive in other people’s positive energies. I think it’s interesting to see things from as many perspectives as possible and I admire people who are critical and question things before they make up their minds. I despise bullshit and selfishness.

I am currently living in Porto Alegre in Brazil to study various courses at PUCRS University as an exchange student and when I have some time off I will want to travel around as much as I can. I am here until late November and will then continue to travel until late January when my school starts again in Sweden.

Here I´m sweating to learn Portuguese, but it´s slowly progressing in the right direction. I´d love to better my Portuguese so if you see my profile and you know the Portuguese language you have a good reason to write me, either while I am still in South America or when I am back in Sweden!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I opened my eyes to traveling in 2012 when I went out alone on a 7 month journey with the reason being: why not?

I had saved up money for two years without really knowing where it'd end up, turned out for the first two months it ended up in South America and luckily I loved my investment and was hooked and so eventually couch surfing gathered a new proud member.

From Quito, Ecuador I flew into Las Vegas (big contrast) and traveled up California. On to Japan for a month followed by South East Asia for 2 ½ months and then back to home.

I have since then enjoyed smaller trips but nonetheless interesting; to Cuba, New York and Poland.

In Sweden I live in various places depending if I am in Uppsala studying or home in Stockholm. If you’re not a serial killer and/or something similar and if the circumstances allows me to, my mind is set on giving back and to actively contribute to this awesome community by hosting some of you.

I love music and mostly listens to hip-hop and electro at the moment. I do however enjoy most genres. I studied music in high school with guitar being my main instrument and I focus my playing around jazz and blues. Nice loud music really heals my soul - feel free to give me further prescriptions.

And that’s all there is to know about me, 100%, there’s hardly any reason for you to meet me now. If you still insist, hit me up (unless you’re a serial killer but I think we covered that part).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I went to India with my family in november 2011 and we saw the Taj Mahal. Absoultely breathtaking.

Through mutual kindness and luck I got to know a group of Brazilian soccer players on a beach in Rio - we met up later in a church where several of them formed and lead groups of people that came to the church to open up and tell everyone what they were thankful for, what they were sad/happy/confused about - everyone listened and were so accepting, I was overwhelmed by that experience and will never forget it. Such a genuine intimate insight in a country and the residents is hard to get.

Also recently on my trip in South America I got to see the biggest waterfalls on this earth, the Iguazu falls. Astoudning, raw natural energy!

I got to travel Myanmar, most beautiful and warped country that I've been to.
