About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Living and working in London

ABOUT ME

Intelligent and opinitated Yorkshire man, yet easy going and laid back.

PHILOSOPHY

erm ........ be nice?!

to qoute Ghandhi "the fragrance always remains with the hand that gives a rose".

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

not much at the moment im afraid. I am looking to get more involved soon. I would like to meet more similar minded people to myself in London.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Couch surfed once. Attended a few events. Given advice to travellers.

Interests

Have a general thirst for knowledge. interested in economics (which I have studied), politics, sport (rugby and football), indie music (and going to gigs), etc. I can also speak a little Italian.

I love food! I get a lot of pleasure out of eating. I also like nice wine and coffee, hence dining out is a real pleasure for me.

Music, Movies, and Books

Indie music. But generally appreciate any good music.
I like Italian music and I'm a big fan of Venditti (although most Italians think this is really funny!?)
Try to read non fiction books, but really like Wilbur Smith when reading fiction.
Papillion by Henry Charriere is my all time favourite book.
Like dark movies ....... Saw, Seven, the Departed, Crash, Deliverance. But can watch the original 3 star wars, predator, terminator and kevin and perry over and over again.
As part of learning Italian I've got more into Italian movies. A couple of my favourites are Il Postino and La Vita e Bella.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Mount Everest.

Got a funny story about my voyage to base camp 2 (5800 metres). If I ever meet you in person, ask me about it (or read it on my travels journals page - sthe link is http://www.traveljournals.net/stories/17385.html ).

Teach, Learn, Share

Although im stationary in London at the moment. If you have a little spare time, check out my travel journals webiste.
