About Me

Originally from a small coastal village in the south of Sweden, but now living in Germany. I'm an easy going guy that loves to travel and meet new people to share adventures with. So far I have travelled to south, central and north America, Europe, Africa, Asia, Australia and New Zealand. I have studied courses in math, physics, bio medicine, astronomy and history at the university for three years, but I don't have a degree. I have traveled the world for new adventures, experience new cultures and to learn more about myself. While traveling around I tried to figure out what I wanna do with my life:) I was addicted to explore new places and almost always on the move for a new adventure. I tried to hitchhike as much as possible wherever I went and most of the time I was camping or using couchsurfing. Hitchhiking is a great way to meet new and interesting people around the world. I try to travel as much as possible of the beaten track, and like to do hikes. I hiked the "Te Araroa" in New Zealand, crossing both islands by foot.

I'm a relaxed guy who is enjoying life to its fullest. I'm trying to always be optimistic (even time optimist) and try to find joy in everything I do in life. I like to try new things and always push myself to never stand still. When I'm travelling I always try to meet up with local people to learn about their ways of living, culture and exchange thoughts and ideas. Couchsurfing is a great tool to meet up with locals and I try to use it as much as I can. I like to cook vegetarian/vegan food and share a meal with good friends. I'm not gonna say no to a beer or two or a glass of red wine:)

I have been a vegetarian for several years, mainly because of environmental reasons, which we can discuss more if we meet in person. Traveling in developing countries it can some times be hard to find vegan or even vegetarian food, that was why I was traveling with a small gas cooker. When I was camping in the bush I could cook my own food. During my thru hike in New Zealand I cooked most of the food on my gas cooker. If you never tried vegan/vegetarian food, I´m more than happy to cook and share a meal with you:)

I'm a big fan of soccer (football) and hockey, in Sweden I used to catch a game or two every week. I'm mostly following English premier league where my favorite team is Liverpool. As for myself, I try to be as active as possible, by playing tennis, badminton, football and floorball mostly for fun. During the winter I like alpine skiing whenever I get the opportunity. I have been skiing in the Alps and the Swedish mountains in the north. Wherever I go in the world I like to hike and explore the surrounding by foot. It's a great way to stay active and really come close to nature. I have done some amazing hikes around the world. The Salcantay route to Machu Picchu (Peru). Torres del Paine W surcuit (Chile). Sarek (Sweden). Climbed Kilimanjaro (Tanzania). Annapurna Surcuit (Nepal). Fraser island (Australia). I try to stay fit by running and doing other sports.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To use couchsirfing is a great way to meet new and interesting people around the world. It makes it easy to come in contact with local people and get a chance to understand their way of living. You see things from a different perspective when you get to know the people behind each place. For me it is almost always the people behind the place that makes it special or worth exploring.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can always share some of my traveling stories. I can also share experiences and knowledge with the people I have meet, and discuss about it.

I´m always interested in learning about new cultures and ways to live, especially eco and environmental friendly.

And teach about my way of living. I'm good at finding random useless facts that I could share if you are interested:) I can teach you how to travel on the cheap side and hitchhike if you are in to that.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Easy going guy that will make it easy for you, and I promise that you will have a good time. Share some traveling experiences and stories. I can always cook you a vegetarian/vegan meal:)
