Morceaux de musique, films et livres
I love documentary films, latin movies and good films that make me think about important issues. I also enjoy classic:) As for the books I do not know which one is my favorite. I would highly recommend books by Kazuo Ishiguro, Ian McEwan, Mario Puzo, Alejo Carpenter, Stephen King, Eduardo Mendoza... so many different kinds:)
Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue
I didn't do anything espectacular but I can share my experience that I had in Kenya and that I reccomend to everyone!
I worked in Kenya as a project coordinator in years 2008-2011. Mostly we worked with local people/NGOs in slum or rural areas. As a result of our project we built water retention reservoir ("earth dam") in Uuni, Machakos; we have rebuild and furnished Rise and Shine primary school in Kawangware slum, Nairobi; we established an education centre for street children in kawangware slum, Nairobi, and many others small projects..It was a great experience that I will never forget. I am sure that I learnt more from local people than they learnt from me. Their life filosophy inspirated me and now I appreciate how lucky I am:)
Last year with my husband we spent our honeymoon in Jamaica, travelling with rucksacks round the island. We met many amazing people that introduced us to the "real Jamaican life". It was our second honeymoon - first one, just few weeks after our first meeting we spent in Central Kenya, sleeping in Il Ngwezi lodge... amazing...
