a thirst for adventure? yes. obviously, as many other couchsurfers i enjoy travelling and find great personal fulfillment interacting with people. a great listener. a keen photographer. a bit shy and reserved at the beginning but very playful and talkative in a short time.

'live the life you love, love the life you live', that would be the most correct phrase about how am i trying to improve my life and what helps me in it.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

currently hosting a long-term visitor and surfing for a couch in France, hoping to meet some amazing new people during the trip!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

i have hosted a couple of surfers and, what's even more amazing, made very close connections with some of those lovely people. our friendship flourishes even though it's been years since we first met thanks to CS!

Interests

am very interested in exploring new places and the more weird place i find, the happier i am. when it comes to travelling, i prefer to see all mainstream attractions at day and then continue with very strange places at night. little streets and hidden lanes inspire me as i am that kind of a photographer that continuously keeps making images. i am also very interested in stories that people tell me and have a range a stories to tell back as well.

Music, Movies, and Books

should confess that i am a cinemaddict with a very serious and sometimes sceptic attitude towards movies. i would list 'El Maquinista' and '25th Hour' as my life-time favourites. just to clarify my taste, i would also name 'Across the Universe', 'Inside I'm Dancing', 'American Beauty', 'Gia', 'Night on Earth' and this list can be endless. Alfred Hitchcock, Gus Van Sant, Quentin Tarantino, Tim Burton, ... now it's obvious that i am an addict.when it comes to music, i can call myself omnivorous because i don't mind listening to any kind of music as long as the lyrics make at least some sense (that's why i would say that modern pop music is definitely not my cup of tea). although i prefer to listen to calm relaxing music at home (if heard or Somafm online radio - you're my friend already) and crazy energetic beats in the club. unfortunately (or luckily) i am not interested in modern literature but instead of this i love classic literature, mostly russian as it is my mother tongue. a list of authors that make me forget about everything else apart from their works: Fyodor Dostoyevsky, Mihail Bulgakov, Ethel Lilian Voynich, Oscar Wilde, Ken Kesey, ...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

it is too difficult to choose one thing only and i feel puzzled. in my opinion, the best things that can happen to one are always random. throw away your plans in the rubbish bin and then everything will become more interesting and fun. and never say 'no' to new opportunities.

Teach, Learn, Share

one of the things i really enjoy doing is cooking together. on my own, i'm not a very inspired cook but when it comes to making something in pair.. miracles happen. i would also love to meet as passionate photographer as i am and maybe even to work on a joint project, that would be fantastic! also, any people related to arts are highly welcomed to share their knowledge with me and to create something amazing together! if interested, i can teach some russian language and would be really grateful to hear something about the culture of the country you come from.
