Overview
About Me
My name is Olympia, I'm 22 and about to graduate college in March. In April I'm heading to Greece, Turkey and Morocco for three months. I'm getting my degree in community studies with an emphasis in health justice. The past six months I was doing a field study at a medical clinic for homeless folks and working at a needle exchange. I care about harm reduction and meeting people where they're at. In my free time I like to draw, sew, bike, surf, hike, read, cook, be in nature, make herbal concoctions, hang out in my hammock, learn about things like horticulture, earth ship building, revolution, spirituality, how to build an economy not based on capitalism, building yurts, stuff like that.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm couch surfing because I've heard lots of good things about it, it's a great way to meet people that know the area which I'm traveling to and it's FREEEE! Of course I would buy you breakfast or make you something neat if you want. I currently cannot accept guests because I'm traveling but I do believe in giving back and karma so if I stay with you and we keep in touch I will be glad to host you whenever I establish permanent residence somewhere!
Interests
Most of my interests I listed in the "about me" section. I might go to nursing school in a couple of years or become a teacher, I mostly surrender to the fact that I have no idea where I'm going to end up but my journey there will be beautiful. I'm interested in carpentry, social justice and art to create some kind of collective or co-op that builds sacred spaces or designing green houses for optimal plant growth, or horticulture therapy based out of an art studio that I built. I have lots of ideas that still require me to gain a lot of knowledge before I can actually realize them, so I am happy to learn from whomever has stuff to teach!
