About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To learn the value of patience, empathy, and compassion through experiencing life to the fullest!
ABOUT ME
I like to think I'm a pretty down to earth person. I love to travel to experience new things and to learn more about my crazy self. I love music, dancing, drinking, reading, afternoon naps in the sunshine, pot bellied pigs, good food, and good company. Most of all I love waxing philosophical about books, politics, consciousness and life experiences with new people. I'm interested in exploring and learning about alternative lifestyles to consumer and capitalist hegemony, being more in sync with natural cycles and ways of being, and creating loving inclusive communities.
PHILOSOPHY
Try anything once, be honest and straight forward, but most of all, be empathetic, patient and willing to learn!
Interests
reading, writing, poetry, museum design, ancient cultures, present day cultures, consciousness studies, tarot, women's health, speaking Spanish, music, nature, human rights, making friends, climbing trees, kayaking, hiking, skiing, good beer, northwest botany, and playing in lakes and rivers.

Music, Movies, and Books
I love poetry and novels by Joan Didion, Charles Bukowski, Edward Abbey, David Mitchell, Zora Neale Hurston, Tom Robbins and Cormac McCarthy.
One of my favorite movies is Pan's Labyrinth. Also anything directed by Wes Anderson or Jim Jarmusch. Older Tarantino is lovely as well.
As far as music: I love Crass, the Cure, the Smiths, The Unicorns, Blackbird Raum, Jeffrey Lewis, Gillian Welch, Lucinda Williams, Townes Van Zandt, Modest Mouse, the Violent Femmes and so many more it's hard to keep track. I have an eclectic taste and will listen to anything. Life just flows so much better when there's a background soundtrack :)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I lived in Zambia, Africa for a bit. Volunteering there was one of the most eye opening experiences of my life. Traveling to Turkey was also incredible. The time I spent there studying the modern political scene and exploring the hidden cultures attempting to break free of the nationalist camouflage really put some things about home in perspective for me. And hiking around Cappadocia was breathtaking!
Teach, Learn, Share
I could share my street medic training, my knowledge of protesting, and a tarot reading. Or just stories of the beautiful people I've met on my travels.
