I think that the best way to explore a country is to explore it with the help of its natives. So, why pay money and experience nothing when you can make friends, enjoy the real life of a country, and give good back by sharing your knowledge, too?

Music, Movies, and Books

classical music and pop :D Sometimes I enjoy listening to indie, too. love to watch historical movies, comedies, or dramas. sometimes when i’m stressed and my brain cannot function whatsoever, i put up the stupidest teen show on netflix and have the time of my life. my favourite movies are Shakespeare in love, les miserables, and 12 years a slave. also im a book worm, russian classics are my favorite. my favorite books are war and peace, the bluest eye, and pity from wit.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

When I did an exchange year in the US (I was 16), I performed the Star Spangled Banner in front of 50 people to get out of my comfort zone, even though I can’t sing at all :)
One time I spent a night and actually slept at the Waikiki beach because I missed my bus home

Teach, Learn, Share

can teach you kazakh and russian. love talking about my country, its culture and history because everyone’s so clueless about it and i feel like i’m serving the holy duty of enlightening foreigners about my motherland. I’d love to learn more about your country, language, culture, how to cook national dishes and dance! I can share everything I know with you :)

What I Can Share with Hosts

I will definitely teach you how to say Hi in Kazakh - Salem! I can cook national food and will bring souvenirs, foods, and some other good stuff, would love to share my experience about travelling and to hear yours!
