ABOUT ME:

I grew up in Casablanca, Morocco and left home for studies when I was 17. Since then, I've lived in Paris, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Cape Town, Nairobi and Toronto, which all became home to me. I'm currently working in Paris in the field of Impact Investing - i.e. finance with a social or environmental purpose!

Making deep human connections is what keeps me happy. Having those long, uninterrupted, one-to-one conversation with people where you start learning things about yourself just listening to each other... Realizing how we're all trying to give meaning to our lives, and get inspired by each other's pursuit of happiness! Sometimes I think that if we all did this regularly, we might be more compassionate and responsible humans =).

Although trying to be responsible and all, I try not to take life too seriously. I love self-deprecation, absurd humour, playing guitar and singing in the streets, talking to random people... As long as it helps us smile a little more!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've surfed in Brussels, Vienna, Budapest, Ljubljana, Milan, Torino, Lille, Toulouse, Bruges, Gent, Lausanne, Copenhagen, Brussels, Leuven, Barcelona, Johannesburg, Montreal, Toronto, Ottawa, Detroit, Mexico City, Philadelphia, Zurich, Arau, San Sebastian and Astigarraga! Every single experience was amazing, and I've rarely been disappointed by a couchsurfer =).

Hosted 3 times : Once in December 2011 in Paris for the NYE, once in 2015 in Cape Town with my ex. housemate Sandy Juhel, and once in July 2017 in my tiny Parisian flat.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

June 2011, Milan, 10pm, a friend and I missed our train, and had to wait for the next one at 7am. So we : slept in the street next to two girls from Danemark, woke up at 4am, their money and passports were gone, lead them to the police station, missed the other train, waited for another, slept 2 hours inside, been kicked out cause our interrail pass expired the day before, found ourselves in Parma, walked 5 kilometers to reach the highway, tried to hitchhike, been kicked out from the gas station by the police, went back to the train station, spent all our money to buy tickets, arrived in Roma, took a metro, another train, a bus, a shuttle bus, had to wait an hour outside during a storm, arrived at our camp at 11 pm... and starved because all shops were closed, and we had absolutely no food during the previous 24 hours. It was fun though.
