Hello everyone,

I'm Omar and I am currently spending my days working at Bending Spoons (you gotta check this company out, it's super cool) or doing as much sport as I can, while also trying to learn how to play the guitar.

I grew up in Italy, in a small town in Sardinia - Carbonia - named after "coal", which is "carbone" in Italian. Sardinia, as you may know, is an awesome place, and if I would have the chance to have a good job there, I would be definitely there. I spent all my childhood in Carbonia, while I moved to Cagliari to attend the University.

In between high school and University I had the chance to enter, as an aspiring pilot officer, in the Italian Air Force academy. This was a short-but-great experience, since, unfortunately, I had to leave and come back to my family. The good thing, though, is that I immediately found my new passion: electronic engineering. Its sparkle is still up and running, which allows me to start my days in a positive mood.

Moreover, I do like cooking. I do like eating the most, though! I cannot consider myself a chef for sure, but I definitely make a good use of my italian innate skills!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Traveling has always been a dream since I was usually really focused on reaching out for a good job. Now, finally, it's time for me to move around.
I would like to first visit places where the nature rules, while still interested in big cities they would always come as second in my list.

At the same time, I do enjoy a lot of sports. Recently I tried out climbing and snowboarding. Couchsurfing looks like a nice place to check out who shares this and meet up to have some healthy sport and fun.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like to listen to Rock, Blues, and Jazz music.
Yet, I am open to listen many other genres.

As regards both movies and books I am usually interested in non-fiction ones. They usually give me a better feedback, which goes beyond the simple fact of just watching or reading,

Teach, Learn, Share

I'd like to learn new languages, but of course this requires a lot of time.
Traveling, though, may overcome this "a lot" turning it into a "too little" time to enjoy the ground root of a different culture, which starts in trying to understand their language. For the same reason, I'd be glad to help someone out with his/her Italian.

As already mentioned, I like cooking, and this is yet another fundamental way to know someone else. Sharing food, traditional food, has always amazed me.
