About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Too live life and appreciate the here and the now; whether it be where you are or who you're with.
ABOUT ME
I used to grind and slave away within the confines of corporate America where I could practically feel my soul being sucked out of me as each day passed. The work was interesting and the people were nice, but my life was still not my own to enjoy. That's all changed!
With a meager savings in hand, I cast off from a life of thankless labor to explore the world and see what so many have seen before but with a set of fresh and unspoiled eyes.
For what it's worth, they've since been spoiled...particularly in Thailand....
I'm a really easy going guy, and most importantly enjoy meeting new people that I can learn something from or just have a few good laughs and exchange interesting stories/a couple drinks.
tl;dr.
I quit my job and now I’m meandering around the world.
PHILOSOPHY
The best and more memorable places in life are always those where you're surrounded by great people to share them with.
The internet has really connected us and has the ability to eliminate borders be they physical or mental. EBRACE THE 1's and 0's.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I hope to meet cool new people in cool new cities and build new friendship with, and once I'm back in sunny California, to be able to return the hospitality I receive to the community.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Unfortunately I didn't learn about couchsurfing until 2 weeks before I left for my trip in August 2013, so I didn't get an opportunity to host. Since then I've met so many great people along the way that have shared with me nothing but positive couchsurfing experiences.
Except one girl who stayed with a crazy nudist, but that's only because he was crazy and not because he was nude.
Interests
I like a wide range of activities such as snowboarding, snorkeling, chilling with friends, surfing, video games, watching movies, or just having a few beers.
I'm also quite into the internet and technology as a whole, stand up comedy, music, movies, and podcasts.
And if the occasion calls for it, I'm not opposed to a night of getting wasted and dancing like I'm having seizures.

I've had so many phases in my life that I could usually relate to anything, but I like anything from dance to electronic to punk to pop to your mom.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
The first thing that comes to mind is on my most recent trip to Thailand, I did a 600km motorbike loop through the north (Mae Hong Son loop if you want to look it up), rode to the summit of Doi Inthanon (highest mountain in Thailand), and climbed the construction scaffolding one of the two stupa's they have near the summit.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you to milk a goat like you wouldn't believe.
You'll need to provide the goat though.
Some of my goals for this upcoming year that I'll be spending in Australia is to get better at surfing (currently I'm somewhere inbetween beginner and novice), and also to improve my knowledge and understanding of CSS3 and basic webdesign.
