À propos de moi

CURRENT MISSION

Try to live life to the fullest. I absolutely love Latin American culture and I plan to move to Brazil in time for the World Cup and the Olympics and before then I want to live in Salvador de Bahia and learn capoeira from the mestres.

ABOUT ME

I'm a kind-spirited, adventurous and curious person.

I love to try new things and most of all I like to meet new people and gain fresh perspectives on life.

The moments shared with good and honest people are the most important and I live for those.

PHILOSOPHY

Travel is fatal to prejudice.

Pourquoi je suis sur Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've surfed various couches in Latin America and hosted a few different people when I was in Mexico as well. I'd love to to do more surfing and hosting, because I truly have enjoyed every experience.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've had some really great and memorable CouchSurfing experiences. Maybe best of all was couchsurfing at Izzie's house in Playa del Carmen, Mexico. We messaged him maybe 1 hour before we were due to arrive and he got back to us straight away. We were his first ever surfers, but he was a true pro. He showed us a great time, hitting the local bars and clubs and teaching us some Mexican slang.

I've also met some amazing and interesting people hosting as well. I hosted Donal and Katie in my flat in Mexico for just a few days while they were in town and they were brilliant. We hit it off straight away and had long conversations into the night about travelling, food, jokes and just about everything.

I love couchsurfing!

Centres d'intérêt

Travelling. Learning new languages. Literature. World Dance (Salsa, Samba, Sengalese Semba, Flamenco, Swing, etc.) Capoeira. Comedy and making my friends belly-laugh.

I love all three of these. My favourites in each category are definitely The Usual Suspects, Drum&Bass, Othello.

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

Visiting the islas flotantes in Lago Titicaca and then staying on Amantani with some of the best people I could ever hope to meet and doing the Rey León and crying with laughter. Seeing Machu Picchu from Waynu Picchu. Seeing the Iguazú Falls under the full moon and then again by day and then going over to the Brazilian side and doing it all over again. Took my breath away entirely. Going to Cuba and speaking to the locals, the most mind-opening experience of all. Doing Rio Carnaval and going to the sambódromo on the first day and seeing it all from up high then the next actually parading with Oli and Juan in costume with Unidos da Tijuca singing and samba-ing our hearts out to thousands and thousands of joyous people. Simply being in Salvador, cidade da minha coraçao. Going to the closet thing to paradise on earth in Fernando da Naronha and just being amazed at the beauty in the world. Absolute stressful mission to get to Calaknul but then amazing amazing views from the top. Going skydiving with Kiki in Playa del Carmen over the Caribbean ocean - yeah baby. Yeah we did!

Enseignez, apprenez, partagez

I'm a tutor, so I teach all the time. I teach English and Spanish mainly, but also Maths and Science and all sorts. I really love sharing knowledge and inspiring people.

I'm currently trying to improve my Portuguese before moving to Brazil, so I'm really keen to learn more. I'm also keen to learn any new dance, groove or body shake.

I'd like to share cultures, share beliefs, share ideas, share stories.
