Music, Movies, and Books

I like the films of Akira Kurosawa, David Lynch and independent cinema. I also like sci-fi films.

I listen to (and compose) electronic music. A few musicians I like: Aoki Takamasa, Squarepusher, Luke Vibert, Autechre, Funki Porcini, Aphex Twin, Dorian Concept, Flying Lotus, Thundercat. I also like jazz. I like anything that sounds good basically (bit of a cliche but nonetheless a good attitude to have I think).

I like the works of Jorge Luis Borges, Dostoyevsky (who doesn't?), Arthur Conan Doyle, Thomas Hardy and Italo Calvino . I'm currently reading books regarding my coursework (i.e. Politics Philosophy and Economics)such as those of Wittgenstein, Nietzsche etc.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

seeing the taj mahal at dawn, going up the himalayas on horseback. Driving from the UK to Mongolia in a 1.0L Nissan Micra.. (that's three I know)

I can teach Turkish, English (! if you don't know this most generic language in the world already, guitar, electronic music, POLITICAL PHILOSOPHY, research methods (not so boring as you might think), etc.
