About Me
ABOUT ME
I was born in Tel-Aviv 32 years ago, grew up in a suburb of the city and sometimes got shipped off by my parents to summer schools abroad.
I spent my childhood trekking most of Israel's nature reserves, which probably gave me the ambitions necessary to roam around the world (or Israel) whenever I have a day, a week or a month off. I enjoy nature, but it occurred to me that big city life becomes me as well - Tel-Aviv offers a huge variety of nightlife and culture (for such a small city), and I like to take advantage of it along with some other city-mice whom I call my friends.
I majored in Biology and Computer sciences, worked in the field for a while but left to go and see the world :) It's not that I didn't enjoy studying or working, it's just that I chose a position (and a major) that seemed interesting but apparently focuses on the leaves instead of the whole tree. Hopefully I'll make a better choice with my master's and my next career.
Alongside studying and traveling I have to relax somewhere - so I usually explore the nearby beaches - one of my favorite getaways. No matter the weather, I will always find time to feel the sand under my feet.
PHILOSOPHY
Be the change you want to see in the world - and have a great time doing it!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Up until 4 years ago all the flats I rented were too small to host surfers (and friends, or parties....), but when my roommate and I moved to a large apartment in the middle of Tel-Aviv, we were able to host quite comfortably. I had to moved again to a place not suitble for hosting, but I hosted as many surfers as I could during a short and amazing period of time.
I know Tel Aviv and its history pretty well (went to the first high school in the world that taught all it's lessons in Hebrew! and it's in Tel-Aviv!), so I'm always happy to go out and show the city. since I traveled quit a lot I know it's so much better to learn about a place and it's culture from a local, and I've been told I'm as local as it gets...

Music, Movies, and Books
I have no defined taste in movies or books, I just watch whatever sounds good and some people have designated me as a book worm: I read a lot and almost everything that is recommended to me. I do enjoy sci-fi more than some of the genres I've encountered. Music - I have one of the most eclectic collections known to mankind - you'll have to come and hear for yourself.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Probably finding the only tree in Tel Aviv that gives amazing oranges... I can show you where it is when you come :)
Teach, Learn, Share
I enjoy sharing my own history and the history of my family , that incorporates the story of Israel. I am always happy to hear what other people have to aay, because I believe almost every person has something new he teach me .
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can sure my experiences from my world travels, my ability to find something funny in most situations, and maybe give a yoga lesson if you're keen :)
